Lets jump right into the iPhone 13 rumors now!
Release Date
The most important thing is the release date. Last year, the release date got postponed one month because of Covid-19. If there aren’t any unusual events, then it would probably come out in September.It is likely to come out on the 14th during the Apple event. The second release country would get it around the end of October or the beginning of November.
Naming / Lineup
Next is the naming and lineup. Some people say it could be iPhone 13 and some people say it could be iPhone 12s because 13 is somehow considered unlucky. I will just call it iPhone 13 since I don’t believe in such. It is going to come out as iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max like the iPhone 12 series. There might be some changes but it is most likely to have 13, 13 Pro, and 13 Pro Max like always.
Specs
Third is the specs. There isn’t much information about it but a few important specs were leaked. It is likely going to have the A15 bionic mounted with 4GB LDDR5 for normal 13 and 6GB LDDR5 for Pro. The display size will be the same as previous series which is 5.4 inch for 13 mini, 6.1 inch for 13 and 13 Pro, 6.7 inch for 13 Pro Max. Some rumors also say the Pro models are going to have LTPO so you can enjoy the 120hz screen. I think this is to give a difference between the Pro and base model except for the camera and make Pro as a premium kind of thing. This is all that has been leaked. This is almost the same as the 12 series so just think that there isn’t anything big leaked.
Design
Next is the design. Let’s see the photos first.
The base models have the cameras changed from the straight 1 line to a diagonal line. The Pro camera just has been bigger and nothing changed for it. Rumors say the color might come out with various colors like the new iMac. The notch also could get smaller which would make it kind of look like LG phones.
Performance
Fifth is the performance. It doesn’t talk about VS A14 but the A15 will be a better 5nm processor and solve the heating problem. The ram is also going to be upgraded from LDDR4X to LDDR5 which will make it faster. We all know that Apple chipsets are good and trustworthy so I don’t think there is much to worry about.
Camera
Sixth is the camera quality. The camera will have better lens and AI post-processing technology. In the iPhone 12 series, only the Pro models had functions like radar sensor, sensor shift (only Pro Max), and ProRAW but this time, the 13 base models could have all these. It could also have the feature of using portrait mode while taking videos.
There are uncertain rumors that say it could have Touch ID, that the charger would change to C-type, and the price would go down. We don’t know these for sure so just keep that in mind.
The Last are the small changes. a 1TB storage option could be added which is going to be useful for professional video / picture shooters. The battery capacity could also be bigger but we don’t know that for sure. This could make it more thick. The 13 series is also going to enable 25W charging.
