Hi, this is GENo07 from ITLover0. Today is about the Logitech MX keys review. I was planning to review it earlier but the shift key broke while using it so it took some time to write this post. I removed the keycap and fixed the stabilizer so it works well now. I will talk about this later in this post too. Today’s review is going to have design, typing, convenience, price, and summary. Let’s jump right into the review now!
Design
First is the design. It can be different for each person but I felt that it is very simple and Logitech-like. I don’t think there would be any likes and dislikes because it is just simple. The key cap has the Perfect Stroke design which makes the key cap concave which improves avoiding typos. The overall texture was metal and like the expensive price, it was really clean and good. The back wasn’t worth its price though. It also has a white back lit LED that I felt was better than RGB for people who work.
Typing Feeling
Second is the typing feeling. It has a long stroke compared to other pentagraph keyboards and requires some power while typing. Thus the long stroke made typing felt good so I think the power is pretty worth it. To be honest it has to be good because it costs a lot. However, the stabilizer was bad compared to the typing feeling. Every key had its own stabilizer feeling which made every key feel different when typing and it was really loud too. It was also awkward while typing and it had a disturbing noise while typing. The most serious problem is that the sound wasn’t constant for every key but they all sounded different. This means some products might have a really loud and disturbing noise. We don’t want to depend on any luck when buying a 100 dollars worth pentagraph keyboard.
Comfortability
Third is the comfortability. You can connect it with the Logitech unifying transmitter and multi point connection which allows you to connect to up to 3 devices at the same time and use it. Thus, you can use the MX Master 3 and use the Logitech FLOW which allows smooth switching between devices. It also has a feature so that when you put your hand near the sensor, the LED turns back on.
Price
Fourth is the price. It currently costs about $100 / 130 CAD. For gaming keyboards, this is definitely not a really really expensive price but for work, you have to consider what type of keyboard you like. If you consider its usage and completeness and the fact that it is Logitech, I think it would be worth buying. It is also going to be very attractive to pentagraph users.
Summary
Let’s summarize the whole thing now. The Logitech MX keys are a really complete and excellent keyboard to use. It had a satisfying typing feeling and typing experience. However, it didn’t have good protection. I placed a book on the keyboard and the shift key just got stuck which I could say was really weak. Except for that, I think it is a keyboard worth buying.
