Hi, this is play1379 from ITLover0. Today’s post is going to be about Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed simple review. There isn’t much to say about this mouse so I am only going to write a simple review. Before, there used to be a wired mouse named Basilisk v2. Razer made the Basilisk Ultimate (expensive one) and Basilisk X Hyperspeed (cheap one) based on the Basilisk v2. Anyway, I am going to be reviewing the Basilisk X Hyperspeed.
Specs
Before we jump right into the review, let’s take a look at the specs
It has the PMW3390 16000dpi sensor which is a different sensor from what the Basilisk Ultimate has. There are 6 buttons and the switch is mechanical, not optical. The buttons would probably be OMRON China or Kyle. It does not have RGB chroma and it uses a replaceable battery, not a rechargeable battery. It weighs 83g without the battery and 107g with one AA battery. The mouse costs about $60. There isn’t much to talk about the specs.
Review
Now then, let’s jump into the review. There are going to be 4 Benefits and 2 Disadvantages.
Benefits
First benefit is the grip. There are 3 ways in gripping a mouse which are palm grip, claw grip, and finger grip. The palm grip is when most of your fingers and your palm touches the mouse. Claw grip is when a little bit of your palm and your fingertips touch the mouse. Finger grip is when only your fingertips touch the mouse. I personally use claw grip and I felt that the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed is very comfortable. Palm grip was also comfortable but the finger grip wasn’t as comfortable as the other grips.
Next is the design. As I always say, how people feel about designs can vary. I personally prefer simple and humble mice designs over fancy RGB mice. My old mouse which is the G304 has this type of simple design. However, the G304 was too low and small for me. This makes the Basilisk X Hyperspeed just fit and perfect to use.
Third is the connection. Most of the wireless mice use only the 2.4GHZ USB type connection. However, the Basilisk X Hyperspeed is also capable of using bluetooth. This allows the user to not only connect it with a PC but also with devices like tablets or phones. The fact that it has a bluetooth and USB type wireless feature in a $60 mouse really seems like a benefit.
Fourth is the price. Famous gaming mice mostly cost more than 100 USD. However, the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed is only $60 which is a really cheap price while it is made by Razer and has good quality.
Disadvantages
Next up are the disadvantages.
First disadvantage is losing connection. It is not like the USB is not working. Sometimes, the mouse would stop working out of nowhere. If you update the firmware, this problem gets fixed so if you are also experiencing this, try updating your firmware.
Next is the weight. The G304 weighs about 99g while the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed weighs 107g with the battery. Well a 8g difference isn’t really big but I could say it is a disadvantage.
Summary
Let’s summarize the product now.
- It has a cheap price.
- There aren’t any big disadvantages while using.
- The grip and the design is decent.
If you are looking for a decent and cheap wireless gaming mouse, I would definitely recommend it.
That is the end of the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed simple review. To be honest, there isn’t much to say so I named it a simple review. But I would admit it is a decent mouse. If you are wondering if the mouse fits your grip and your hand, I recommend going to a store and trying it.
Thank you for reading my review post today and I will see you next time. Bye!
