They are Galaxy watch 4, Z Fold3, Z Flip3, Galaxy Thom Browne, and Galaxy Buds 2. Now, let’s jump right into the review.

Galaxy Watch 4

First is the Galaxy watch 4. They talked about the watch strap and customizing. The strap became more durable and it is sweat resistant. They increased the amount of watch face and the strap color. Next is the new watch OS. They added a new OS named Wear OS which they made by cooperating with google and made google apps’ usage convenient. They also paid a lot of attention to health features. Samsung also made new health related functions and apps to be added and able to be used. 3rd party health apps like adidas running were able to be used in the watch. More sleeping functions were also added. It figured out how much you actually slept, how deep you slept, how many calories you spent while sleeping, and if you snored a lot or not. It allows you to see detailed information about your sleep.

BCM

A new function called body composition measurement was also added. It uses the BIA which is Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis which sends a weak electronic signal to see how much water your body has. If the electricity has less resistance, it means that it has more water and you have more muscles. This helps you control your health easily. Make two of your fingers touch the two buttons on the side of the watch while using the function and it will detect your BCM. Go to https://www.samsung.com for more information.

Bio Active Sensor

Samsung bio active sensor also got in the watch. Samsung also has blood pressure and ECG rhythm detecting functions which Samsung increased the amount of countries those functions can be used. There are way more functions so I will show you all on further reviews if we get the Watch 4. I should say that this Watch 4 is just a health machine to fight against Apple’s watch.

Galaxy Z Fold3

Next is the Z Fold3. It starts with saying it is lighter than a cup of coffee. To be honest, it was surprising they actually weighed a cup of coffee just to say this during the Unpacked. It has the color of Phantom Black, Phantom Green, and Phantom Silver. The sub-screen (unopened screen) can do anything you can do in the main-screen (opened screen). The sub-screen also is 120Hz which most of the smartphones have nowadays. It also has Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The main-screen has the same specs as the sub-screen. The main-screen size is 7.9 inch like the iPad mini 3. The screen also got 29% brighter and the battery usage decreased. Samsung advertises the Z Fold3 as a smartphone + tablet that is very portable..

Under Display Camera

The Z Fold3 also has an under display camera mounted. We know were many rumors started long ago that Samsung is going to have an under display camera mounted but it never was on until now. When you are watching something, you can’t see it and contents appear on top of it so you won’t get disturbed by the camera notch. But if you join a video call or use your front camera, the camera appears and you can see it below the screen like normal phones. The main-screen’s UI also changed like Samsung tablets. If you open the message app, the text select screen would be on the left and the texting screen would be on the right. It also has a taskbar-like function. You can have the apps you want appear on the right.

Other

Waterproof has been newly added to the Z Fold3 so that you can use it whenever you want. S pen that a lot of fans wanted has also been newly added. To be honest, I can see that Samsung is trying to put attention to this product by adding more features that people complimented. People were anxious about the Note series disappearing then they added the S pen as if to tell them that the S pen is a premium exclusive feature. The screen got 80% hard and has the Gorilla Glass Victus as their glass. The Gorilla Glass is a famous glass product for its strongness. I would say that it is a PC like tablet + phone with some features that customers like.

Galaxy Z Flip3

Third is the Z Flip3. It has Cream, Green, Lavender, and Phantom Black as its color. You can also buy Pink, White, and Gray if you buy it from Samsung’s official website. The colors changed which I really like that they are trying to give the customers a different feeling than the old Z Flips. The cover screen has been 4 times larger than before which is also a benefit. The Bixby has been 35% faster than before too because it doesn’t go through the server to recognize the commands. They upgraded mostly the cover screen so that you can get a better experience with it with various widgets and a larger screen. It also has Auto Framing which changes the camera frames automatically from wide to ultra wide and so forth. I could say it is a small phone with some new technologies and for outdoor video taking or photo taking.

Z Fold3 & Z Flip3

Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 both focus on differentiated abilities compared to other smartphones. They both use the ONE UI 3 and the Z Fold3 is a little bit more special because of the main big screen. They are available starting from August 27th and Z Fold3 costs $1799 while Z Flip3 costs $999.

Galaxy Thom Browne Edition

Fourth is the Thom Browne Edition. We also have the Thom Browne Edition this time. Before it was gray, white, blue, and red but this time they got rid of the gray. The cover material also looks different from before. I personally don’t really like the Thom Browne Edition but for people who like these kinds of limited editions, I think it could be very attractive.

Galaxy Buds 2

Last is the Galaxy Buds 2. The shape is like the Galaxy Buds Pro with the kernel type earbuds and square(?) like case. I used to use the Galaxy Buds 1 which has a wing tip for making it fit but the Buds 2 doesn’t need it to make it stabilized. It has one woofer and one tweeter for the sound which won’t make it lack sound. ANC is also available. When on, you can use it for 5 hours and when off, you can use it for 7.5 hours. If using the case, then you can use it for up to 20 hours. It also has ambient sound which allows you to hear outside noise while also hearing music/sound from the speaker.

The ambient noise when I used the Buds 1 was really bad and awkward but still useful. I wonder how natural it is going to be this time. If it is not like the AirPods Pro and not smooth, then most people won’t think of it as a benefit. Samsung also improved natural switching between devices so for example, if you have your phone connected to the Buds but you leave your phone home and go for a walk with only your Galaxy Watch 4, then your Buds 2 automatically connects to your Watch 4. It is also available starting from August 27th and it costs $149 which is a very cheap and reasonable price.

Let’s give the products a final wrap up review. Galaxy Watch 4: A health machine on your wrist. Z Fold3: PC like tablet + smartphone. Z Flip3: Small foldable phone for photos, videos and video calls. Thom Browne Edition: Package for limited edition lovers. Galaxy Buds 2: The new improved Galaxy Buds that is threatening the AirPods.
