Intro
Valorant is a very well known game from Riot games who made League of Legends. I like to explain Valorant as League of Legends + Overwatch + CSGO. You can easily find players from League and CSGO playing Valorant. Anyways, some users that play Valorant are experiencing a situation where Valorant just won’t open. And, the same thing happened to me. I have no idea why, it happens to like all of my games including COD Warzone and Unturned. I think it might be the anti-hack program that those games require. They make some sort of bug. Anyways, let’s look at the solutions for it.
Solutions
First option is to just restart. It might sound not-professional but restarting is always an option when something malfunctions. Restarting allows your computer to close everything and reboot everything from the very start. This allows the computer to get rid of the thing that might be causing a problem and opening it back properly. So if your Valorant is not opening, try restarting and re-opening. Sometimes, it takes about 3 restarts. If it still doesn’t open, try the next option.
The second option is to run as administrator. Sometimes, the Riot Vanguard (the anti-cheat program) or the game itself might not have enough permission to run it. That is why you try running in administrator mode just to make sure it has enough permissions or such. It works most of the time.
The third option is to open it from Riot Client. Some people just open it right away from the shortcut. Shortcuts can cause it to not work (I have no idea why). If you look at your home screen, you can see a Riot Client icon. Riot made this a few months ago just for Riot games like Valorant, League of Legends, and Legends of Runeterra. You can try opening it from Riot Client and see if it works.
If all of the options didn’t work, try reinstalling. There might be a packet loss which can cause the program to just not open. Reinstalling can recover the lost packet.
I hope you fixed it by now. If not, I say you give up and play other games.
